THANK YOU to everyone for helping! We started out with 460 Likes, so that’s a total 1648 Meals provided to The Mississauga Food Bank through our November 1 Like = 1 Meal drive! There are many more things to come in December and January!

As the central food bank in Mississauga, the Mississauga Food Bank distributes food for over 2.8 million meals annually through dozens of member agencies across the city. In order to make sure that the fresh food doesn’t spoil and that client needs are met, we need to receive, inspect, sort, and distribute food as quickly as possible.
A surprising 17% of Mississauga residents live in poverty. That’s over 121,000 people.The Mississauga Food Bank supports 59,000 clients each month, 8% of all Mississauga residents. 51% of them are children.That means there are over 62,000 people who may be going hungry each month because they are unable or don’t know how to access a food bank.We want to reach out to these people, and you can help us.Statistical information and additional information courtesy of the Mississauga Food Bank.
