Jing ‘Speedy Veggie’ Gonzalez – Sales Manager
Jing Gonzalez was an award winning sales representative at Mitsubishi before the dealer principal aptly promoted him into the business office as a Financial Manager. He then moved into an Assistant Sales Manager position where he was able to reignite his true passion for the sales floor. Jing was catapulted into the world of domestic products when he joined the team at John Logan Chevrolet as the stores Sales Manager. From there, Jing moved into the position of Senior Sales Manager at the AutoPark Superstore (part of the Humberview Group). Jing is rejoining the Mississauga community at the Autodome dealership and brings with him 10 years of steady career growth and achievement within the automotive industry. Jing is an ambassador of Autodome’s Fair Pricing Policy and is eager to serve all customers with the Golden Rule – treating others as you yourself would like to be treated.
I’d like to tell you more about myself!
I was born, raised and educated in Manila, Philippines and I am the fifth child of seven siblings. Education was of utmost importance to the Gonzalez family and thus I was blessed to receive my Grade School and High School education at the esteemed private Catholic School – La Salle Green Hills in Mandaluyong City, Metro Manila. Upon graduation I attended San Beda College where I proudly obtained my Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics.
In 2001 I took a leap of faith and migrated to Canada, leaving behind my job as Vice-President of Sales at Design International Selections Inc. I am a proud family man living in Brampton with my wife and four children. As an active martial arts practitioner, martial arts teacher, fighter, weapons expert, coach, motivational speaker, and health buff I am focused on maintaining an altruistic life balance. In my younger years, I loved to modify cars and even joined car shows both in Manila and in Toronto. I have a genuine passion for all kinds of cars and many different martial arts. Here is a picture of me with my son winning first place at the Ontario Taekwondo Championship in 2013.
Undelay! Undelay! I’m one quick vegetarian!
You’re may be wondering why my nickname is ‘Speedy Veggie’. Well, I absolutely love Soy and Green Tea! If I could swim on Green Tea and Soy Drink I definitely would. Add to that my firm belief in the saying that you are reflective of what you eat and do. With that in mind, I’m a vegetarian that loves to eat and experiment with vegetable and fruit dishes from around the world. Speedy comes from my athleticism and martial arts practice while Veggie comes from my food choice. Oh, and of course, the Looney Tunes character named Speedy Gonzalez, we share the same family name, no relation lol. And that is how I gained the name Jing ‘Speedy Veggie’ Gonzalez. I work very hard to maintain a healthy and active lifestyle. My health advice to everyone that I teach is to do what they enjoyed doing when they were young. Whether they loved swimming, basketball, running or hockey, my advise is to do these activities as an adult. You’ll love it just as much and the health benefits are fantastic! Never experiment with exercise fads that look all fancy and pretty. Follow who you already know you are.
